Project Background

The Dingess Street Bridge was built in 1951 by the J.M. Francesa & Company from Fayetteville, WV. It is a four span continuous steel beam configuration, with a total bridge length of 324 feet long and 68 feet wide. It consists of four 11 foot wide travel lanes with a 6 foot wide sidewalk adjacent to the travel lanes and had an average daily traffic of 13,300 vehicles.
