CHARLESTON, W.Va.-Due to a water main break at the Beckley DMV Regional Office, employees are unable to access the camera to issue driver’s licenses and ID cards. Customers needing their initial driver’s license or ID card, or to make changes to their current license or ID card, may visit a nearby regional office including Lewisburg, Princeton, Logan, Summersville, or Kanawha City. Customers needing to renew without any changes may use DMV’s online portal at dmv.wv.gov to renew online, or visit one of the self-service kiosks located at the Kroger’s in Beckley Crossing, or the Sheetz on North Eisenhower Drive.
DMV will update customers when the Beckley Regional Office is able to issue driver’s licenses and ID cards again. This service is anticipated to be restored by the first of next week. All other services, including titles and registrations, are currently available at the Beckley Office.
