CHARLESTON, W.Va.-Division of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Steve Dale announced today that effective immediately, customers may apply for a duplicate vehicle registration card, duplicate license plate, duplicate registration decal, or change of address, all on-line. Through a partnership with West Virginia Interactive, a subsidiary of eGovernment firm NIC, Inc., DMV is focusing on making more services available to the public from the convenience of their own home.
Commissioner Dale said, “We are pleased to offer these vehicle services to our customers through a secure web site. This is just the first of many steps toward DMV becoming more interactive and streamlining processes.”
To apply for a duplicate vehicle registration card, duplicate license plate, duplicate registration decal, or change of address, simply visit https://apps.wv.gov/DMV/selfservice. A one dollar service fee will be added to your debit or credit card transaction for this online service. Customers may still choose to print out the form and mail it to DMV with a check.
Commissioner Dale encourages all customers to call the DMV customer line at 1-800-642-9066 with any questions about DMV services.
