WV DMV Showcases New Kiosk at Martinsburg DMV

9/1/2017

CHARLESTON, W.Va.-DMV customers in the Martinsburg area may now “Skip the Line” and take advantage of the WV DMV Now Kiosk that was just installed in the Regional Office this week.  The kiosk will help customers with no changes to renew their driver’s license and vehicle registration with ease, and cut down the wait time for customers in the Martinsburg Regional Office with more complex transactions.

Commissioner Pat Reed announced this morning that the latest installation brings the kiosk total to six across the state, with the seventh to be installed in Wheeling by the end of the month. “As we continue to add more kiosks, we are seeing an increase in the number of customers taking advantage of these quick and efficient transaction opportunities,” said Reed.  “These kiosks, with locations now in the Martinsburg DMV, Clarksburg Sheetz, Star City Sheetz, Beckley Sheetz, the Kanawha City DMV, and the Barboursville Little General, will help you renew your driver’s license and vehicle registration in just minutes.”

To access the driver’s license renewal process, simply bring your current or expiring driver’s license, renewal form, and credit card to one of the six kiosk locations.  Once at the machine, you will be able to process your transaction in just minutes, and receive a receipt to keep with you until your hard copy comes in the mail.  Renewing your vehicle registration card can be even faster.  Bring your most recent property tax receipt (full year 2016 or first half 2017), current or expiring registration card, insurance information, and credit card, and your decal and new registration card are printed immediately at the kiosk.

Customers with driver’s license changes, including name or address change, will still need to visit their local DMV Regional Office for service.
