Get your digital registration card on your mobile device
The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is now offering digital registration cards which can be stored in your smartphone wallet.
You can get a digital registration card when you renew your registration online through the DMV’s Self-Service Portal. This free service offers immediate access to your vehicle information in a digital format. Once you renew your registration online, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link showing you how to download the digital registration card to your Apple or Google wallet. You will also get a registration card in PDF format.
A paper copy of the registration card and registration decal will also be mailed to you once the transaction is completed.
West Virginia Mobile ID coming soon
Mobile ID is coming to West Virginia! You will soon be able to get your digital identification on your mobile device.
The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is partnering with industry leader IDEMIA to create the West Virginia Mobile ID. You will be able to access your digital driver’s license and ID card on your smartphone.
It is a secure, convenient, and contactless way to verify your identity while protecting your privacy. West Virginia Mobile ID can be used at participating businesses, government agencies, and other organizations.
