NOTICE OF A VIRTUAL INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC MEETING ON THE
PROPOSED PARTIAL ABANDONMENT OF 1.81 MILES OF
COUNTY ROUTE 30/6 LOCATED IN JACKSON COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA
The West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) will host a virtual informational public meeting on Thursday, August 25, 2022, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., regarding the proposed partial abandonment of County Route 30/6 (1.81 miles), beginning at a point on CR 30/6, said point being 1.80 miles northeast of the junction of CR 30/6 and CR 32; thence proceeding northerly for 1.81 miles along CR 30/6 and ending at the junction of CR 30/6 and CR 30, as located in Jackson County, West Virginia. Total length to be abandoned is 1.81 miles. During the meeting, WVDOT staff will present background information about the proposed abandonment. The WVDOT will use the information the public provides during the meeting to decide if the proposed abandonment is appropriate. The August 25, 2022 informational meeting will provide citizens the opportunity to comment upon the proposed partial abandonment in Jackson County, West Virginia. WVDOH District 3 requested consideration of the abandonment on behalf of adjacent property owners.

FORMAL PRESENTATION OF THE PROPOSAL WILL BE MADE ON AUGUST 25, 2022
AT 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. The scheduled public meeting is from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the
public will be afforded the opportunity to give written comments on the project throughout the
meeting. Information related to the proposed abandonment will be available after August 25,
2022, and may be viewed on the WVDOT website found at:
