OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSAL TO ADD COUNTY ROUTE 20/21 IN NICHOLAS COUNTY
TO THE COAL RESOURCE TRANSPORTATION ROAD SYSTEM
The Coal Resource Transportation Designation Committee and the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the Gauley Bridge Town Hall (formerly Gauley Bridge Elementary School) at Walnut & Jackson St, Gauley Bridge, West Virginia 25085, on the proposal by Nicholas Contura, LLC to add Nicholas CR 20/21 – Twenty Mile Creek Road from MP 0.00 (junction with Fayette County Line) to MP 4.72 (junction with private haul road) to the Coal Resource Transportation System (CRTS).

The scheduled public hearing is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (or later if additional time is needed). The hearing will afford participants an opportunity to ask questions and state their views and opinions on the proposal. A formal presentation by Nicholas Contura representatives will commence at 5 p.m. and Committee members and WVDOH personnel will also be on hand to present information and receive public input.
