CHARLESTON, W.Va.- DMV Commissioner Pat Reed was in Martinsburg today to formally recognize the new DMV kiosk with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Representatives from DMV Headquarters, as well as the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, were on-hand to take part in the 10:00 a.m. ceremony at the Martinsburg DMV Regional Office.
Currently, there are seven kiosks installed across West Virginia, including the one in Martinsburg. These kiosks help customers to “Skip the Line” and perform some of our most popular DMV transactions quickly and efficiently. Other locations include the Wheeling Sheetz, the Star City Sheetz, the Beckley Sheetz on Eisenhower Drive, the Clarksburg Sheetz, the Little General Store in Barboursville, and outside the Kanawha City DMV.
According to Commissioner Reed, “These kiosks will help you renew your driver’s license and vehicle registration in just minutes.” She reminds customers to bring their current tax receipt and vehicle registration card for the vehicle renewal service. Driver’s license renewal requires the current driver’s license. According to Reed, “Customers that have any changes to their license or registration will need to visit their local DMV Regional Office; however, if no changes are needed, we’d love to have you come by the kiosk and try it out!”
DMV will continue to add services to the kiosks and the online services portal, to decrease wait times in the Regional Offices, and provide the best customer service to those who have more difficult or time-consuming transactions.
