All lanes of Fort Hill Bridge in Charleston reopen following deck repair

The eastbound Interstate 64 slow lane across the Fort Hill Bridge in Charleston is reopen following a weekend concrete repair.

The slow lane was closed on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, after an approximately 8-by-15-foot section of concrete failed on the bridge deck. West Virginia Division of Highways bridge crews cut out the damaged sections of concrete, reinforced the bridge deck and poured fresh concrete to repair the deck.

Concrete was poured on Saturday, March 29, 2025, and allowed to cure overnight. The bridge reopened just before 3 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2025.
