Eastbound and westbound lane closures across Eugene Carter Bridge scheduled for Friday night, September 11, 2026

CHARLESTON, WV – The outer lane on Interstate 64, across the Eugene Carter Bridge, will be closed, from 8 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, until 6 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026, to allow contractors to set up a painting platform underneath the bridge. The eastbound on ramp from US 119 (Corridor G) and Virginia Street off ramp will also be closed.
 
Additionally, the westbound slow and middle lanes will have intermittent lane closures, from 8 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, until 6 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026, for pothole patching. Rolling roadblocks will be utilized to control traffic.
 
Westbound entrance and exit ramps will remain open.
