I-77 north closed at Williamstown exit due to accident on bridge

Northbound lanes of Interstate 77 are closed from the Williamstown exit to the Marietta, Ohio exit following a bridge strike.
A piece of equipment on the back of a truck hit the bridge just after 8 a.m. Inspectors and bridge engineers from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) are on site evaluating damage to the bridge.
Northbound lanes are expected to be closed several hours.
