CHARLESTON, WV – The outside lanes on eastbound and westbound Interstate 64, across the Eugene Carter Memorial Bridge, will be closed, from 8 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2026, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026; and from 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026, to complete installation of painting platforms on the bridge.
The Oakwood Road on ramp and off ramp, and the Virginia Street on ramp and off ramp, will also be closed.
Work is being done at night to minimize the impact on the traveling public.
