Montrose Drive closed beginning Friday, October 16, 2026

Both northbound and southbound Montrose Drive will be closed at the intersection with Kanawha Turnpike, from 9 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2026, through 5 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2026, for partial replacement of the intersection and continued work on the Montrose Drive Overpass Bridge.
 
In July, Triton Construction Inc. was awarded a contract for $23,109,380 to replace the Montrose Drive Overpass Bridge over Interstate 64, the bridge over First Avenue, and the bridge over Second Avenue in South Charleston.
