Three WVDOH road crew workers in hard hats and high-visibility safety shirts use a concrete saw and jackhammers to break up pavement for a highway repair.

One southbound lane of Interstate 77 will be temporarily closed to allow maintenance crews to safely execute a full expansion joint repair. Work teams will remove a damaged, cracked structural joint containing exposed rebar and refill the section with specialized patching material. Motorists traveling through the area should remain alert for shifting traffic patterns.
