US 52 will be temporarily closed between the intersection of WV 65 at Naugatuck and the intersection of US 119 to allow the West Virginia National Guard to safely conduct storm debris cleanup operations. While school buses and emergency vehicles will be accommodated during the closure, all other motorists are required to use alternate routes.

Designated Alternate Routes
To bypass the closure, motorists are advised to use the following detours depending on their direction of travel:
- Take WV 65 to US 119 at Lenore, then follow US 119 back to US 52.
- Take US 119 to Lenore, then follow WV 65 back to US 52.
