Mission Statement

The mission of the Information Technology Division is to acquire, process, and administer data and provide data-driven solutions for every business process’s decision-making at the Department of Transportation. We promote the most efficient use of resources—including personnel, assets, and investments—for the maximum benefit of transportation throughout the State of West Virginia.

By fulfilling this mission, the Department of Transportation aims to increase productivity, efficiency, accountability, and transparency while providing a safe and effective transportation system that supports economic prosperity for all West Virginia citizens.
