The West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) provides public access to historical and current highway infrastructure plans. Whether conducting property research, engineering analysis, or historical reviews, the following tools are available to assist in locating specific roadway documentation.
WV Highway Plans Viewer
Most highway plans and design documents are available for public viewing through our interactive mapping application. This portal allows users to search by location or project to retrieve digital plan sets.
Route Research Requests
If the information you require is not available through the online viewer, you may submit a formal request for route research. This process is used for specific inquiries regarding right-of-way limits, historical alignments, and detailed property impacts.
