Dunbar Toll Bridge

The purpose of the project is to preserve the operation of the existing river crossing as a critical component of the local transportation system by replacing the Dunbar Toll Bridge with a structure that meets current design standards. The West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways (WVDOH) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are pleased to host this meeting to provide information and answer questions on the Dunbar Toll Bridge Project. No formal presentation is planned. Preliminary mapping, project schedule, and other materials are available to review in person as well as online at the link provided in the Public Comments section of this handout. The purpose of the meeting is to support a Preliminary Investigation & Environmental (PIE) design study for the potential replacement of the Dunbar Toll Bridge with a bridge that meets current design standards.
