There will be alternating lane closures on Interstate 64 East between Exit 50 (Institute) and Exit 53 (Dunbar) from 9 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to remove temporary barriers, remove temporary lane markings, and paint new lane stripes for the Academy Drive and Finney Road bridge rehabilitation project.
Drivers should expect delays, adjust their commuting schedules, and avoid the area if possible. Detours will be in place for local traffic. Law enforcement will be utilized during the closure to help facilitate traffic.
Work is being done at night to minimize the impact on the traveling public.
