A small bridge on WV 601 near the Kanawha Turnpike/Jefferson Road roundabout is reopen in South Charleston.The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) closed the two eastbound lanes on the bridge on Thursday, November 13, 2025, after a routine bridge inspection uncovered problems with one of the bridge support piers.
WVDOH District 1 bridge crews, with assistance from WVDOH Central Forces (CenForce) repaired the damaged pier and the bridge reopened at about 10 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025.
