Holiday traffic on the West Virginia Turnpike over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend totaled 369,763 transactions, exceeding last year’s travel numbers by more than 4 percent.
Traffic on the Turnpike from Friday, May 23, 2025, through Monday, May 26, 2025, exceeded 2024’s numbers by more than 24,000 transactions, according to officials for the West Virginia Parkways Authority.
The tolls for passenger vehicles on the Turnpike are $4.50 per plaza. There are three main toll plazas along the Turnpike. Alternately, an E-ZPass costs $27.50 annually for unlimited use, plus a one-time transponder fee.
