The written examination for an Asphalt Field Technician consists of the following areas:
- Fundamentals
- Preparation and Equipment
- Laydown and Smoothness
- Inspection and Approval
- Compaction and Density Testing
After successful completion of the written examination, the applicant will be required to pass a practical examination demonstrating their proficiency in conducting density tests with a nuclear gauge.
