CHARLESTON-
The West
Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) will hold an informational public meeting
on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Brookview Elementary School located at 1
Learning Way in Foster, West Virginia on the proposed Hobet Development Site
Access Road. This project proposes to construct a four-lane access road
from US 119 near its intersection with WV 3 and extends approximately 2.6 miles
to the former Hobet mine property in Boone County. The new access road
will improve an existing access road to the site from US 119. This
meeting complies with the public involvement requirements of the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic
Preservation Act.
NO FORMAL PRESENTATION WILL BE MADE
The scheduled
public meeting is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the public will be afforded the
opportunity to ask questions and give written comments on the project
throughout the meeting. A handout with project details will be available
at the meeting and on the WVDOH Website.
