MEDIA ADVISORY: WVDOH honors fallen workers at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Williamstown

West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) officials will conduct a ceremony at the West Virginia Fallen Worker Memorial in Williamstown on Wednesday to remember WVDOH workers who were killed in the line of duty. More than 50 WVDOH workers have lost their lives on the job over the years.
 
WHO: WVDOH Chief Engineer of Special Programs Jake Bumgarner, P.E.; WVDOH State Safety Officer Shane Hudnall; WVDOH District 3 Engineer Justin Smith, P.E.; local WVDOH workers and other guests.
 
WHAT: Remembering the more than 50 men and women of the WVDOH who have died in the line of duty. A memorial wreath will be laid to commemorate those who have fallen.
 
WHEN: Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 1 p.m.
 
WHERE: Fallen Worker Memorial, Williamstown Welcome Center, Interstate 77, Williamstown.​​
