Dig Once

In accordance with W. Va. Code §17-2E-5, the West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) provides public notice for the construction of longitudinal underground fiber optic networks or wireless telecommunications facilities. These notices provide other telecommunications providers the opportunity to coordinate trench sharing and cost-sharing ("Dig Once") to minimize future disruptions to the state’s rights-of-way.

Current Installation Notices and Projects

Providers interested in sharing construction costs must contact the applicant company no later than the date specified in the notice (typically 30 days from the notice date).
