About The Conference
The WVDOT, together with its local and federal transportation planning partners, develops a conference in West Virginia to provide a venue for a statewide conversation concerning the practice of transportation planning in West Virginia. The format is typical for such conferences, including presentations on various subjects from many different perspectives. Past subjects have included topics such as: federal funding reauthorization, highway safety, statewide planning, geographical information systems, performance measures, project visualization, linking planning and NEPA, and more. Prior to the start of the conference, there is a half-day roundtable conversation with key planning personnel from local, state and federal agencies across the state.
