BURLINGTON – The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists that nighttime
lane closures will occur on Interstate 81 beginning next week.
Lane
closures will be located between West Virginia Exit 23 (Marlowe) and Maryland
Exit 1 (Williamsport) and will be in place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday
through Thursday nights. Work will begin Monday night, March 27, and will
continue for about 8 weeks until lanes are shifted and temporary barrier wall
installation is complete. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph
through this area until the project is complete.
This
night work is necessary to begin the widening of Interstate 81 in West
Virginia. Minor delays should be expected.
