Roane County –
West Virginia Division of Highways announces that state crews will be
conducting a bridge inspection on I-79 across the SP Cpl. Marshall Lee Bailey –
Trp. Eric Michael Workman Memorial Bridge, (also known as the Wallback
Interchange Bridge), northbound, on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, according to Keeling
Fife, District Three Bridge Engineer.
This will result in single lane closures on I-79 northbound at milepost 33.99,
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Flagging personnel will be present
on WV 36 to maintain two-way traffic. Motorists should only experience minor
delays, but are asked to slow down, use caution in the work zone, and follow
the direction of all traffic control devices.
