BURLINGTON
– The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) announces that Norman Run
Bridge on WV Route 42, north of Petersburg, will be closed to traffic beginning
as early as Aug. 2.
The
bridge closure, located approximately 0.2 miles north of Ridge Road (Grant
County Route 7), will be in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is
necessary for the WVDOH to construct a new bridge over Norman Run. Work is
expected to be completed in approximately four months.
A
detour has been built beside the bridge and will be open for the traveling
public to bypass the project. Motorists are advised to slow down and use
caution while traveling through the detour.
