The written examination for a Asphalt Plant Technician consists of the following areas:

• Fundamentals
• Sampling and Testing
• Control and Inspection
• Mix Proportioning and Adjustment

After successful completion of the written examination, the applicant will be required to pass a practical examination demonstrating their proficiency in conducting tests common to Hot-Mix Asphalt quality control.
